What does self-managed VPS mean?

Clarify responsibilities before deploying an application.

Steps

1. You manage the VPS operating system, software and configuration. Application management is not included in the current proposals.
2. Arrange updates, access control, firewall, monitoring and backups. Assign someone able to respond to incidents.
3. Size memory, CPU and storage around actual load. Confirm licences, location, traffic and support scope separately.
